Assembly Painting – How It Works
Assembly Painting is a collaborative art experience where each participant paints a section of a larger image. When the pieces are assembled, they form one finished artwork created by the entire group.

Participants don’t need any painting experience. Richard and Michele guide the process step-by-step so everyone can confidently contribute their part.

At the end of the session, the artwork is assembled into one display-ready painting that represents the shared experience of the group.

Many participants are genuinely surprised by what they created together.
You can often feel a shift in the room during the process—nervousness drops, people begin helping each other, laughing, problem-solving, and celebrating the finished result together.

Who This Experience Is Perfect For
Assembly Painting works beautifully for groups who want a shared experience and a meaningful finished artwork that symbolizes their time together.
Popular groups include:
  • Corporate teams
  • Chambers of Commerce
  • Schools and educational groups
  • Nonprofits and community organizations
  • Family reunions and celebrations
  • Retreat groups
  • Vacation groups at the Lake of the Ozarks
If your group wants to create something together and leave with a lasting memory, this experience is designed for you.

Do we need painting experience?
No. Most people say they “can’t paint” before they start.
Richard and Michele guide everyone step-by-step so each participant can confidently paint their section.

What kinds of images can we paint?
Artwork can be designed around themes meaningful to your group, such as:
  • Company values or logos
  • Lake of the Ozarks landmarks
  • Wildlife and nature scenes
  • School mascots or community symbols
  • Family or reunion themes
Custom artwork can also be designed specifically for your event.

How many people can participate?
Assembly Painting works for a wide range of group sizes:
  • Small groups of 6–12 people
  • Medium groups of 20–40
  • Large events of 100+ participants
The artwork is designed to match the size of your group.

What happens to the painting after the event?
The individual pieces are assembled into the final artwork.

Your painting will be professionally framed and ready to display, unless we discuss an alternative format before your event.

The finished piece becomes a lasting reminder of the people and experience that created it.

How long does a session take?
Most Assembly Painting sessions last about 90 minutes.
This includes a short introduction, guided painting time, and the reveal of the completed artwork.

Where can sessions take place?
We bring everything needed for the event and can host sessions at:
  • Corporate offices
  • Resorts and retreat centers
  • Conference rooms
  • Restaurants or breweries
  • Schools and community venues
  • Private homes or vacation rentals
